1  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Sidewalk on: December 25, 2018, 01:31:05 AM
The sidewalk is concrete
laid out  there to line the street
made for a hundred thousand feet
For different walks to  different beats
the sidewalk is concrete
A place to pace,  a beggars seat
made to while away the day
A space to roam , A place to remain .
Concrete takes the strain
Smell the speed.
Taste the haste.
The humans tamed .
The straight, the narrow, the arrow, the regulated,
the familiar, the hated
the fate complete
the Sidewalk is concrete
2  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Spoon on: November 18, 2018, 03:15:43 AM
I've been hot like chili
and I've been Ice cold .
and sticky and sweet
Molasses treacle treat.
I dabbled in commodities
mostly sugar,  coffee and tea.
Wooden  I've been  weaponized,
Punisher of the bold boys.
I am silver in the mouths
of newborn louts.
I measure
I move
I stir
Yes Sir.

In bed I am a gentle Hug.
I am in Love
I have tasted everything...........
3  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Fox on: November 14, 2018, 01:22:51 AM
There was a chance meeting with A fox  late on Wednesday night
his name was  Steven  or so he said
but foxes can be tricky and evasive
in a foxy kind of way
except on the  motorway
when and where they dive under  the wheels.
..............oh so suicidal .
He asked why the world is this way ? so crazy ?
why things that hurt move so fast ?
and never stop to look back ?
never slow down?
" I don't know"
I said.
4  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Wind on: November 10, 2018, 01:46:32 AM
There was salt in the wind.
Tasted like nothing else on this earth
overtones of mussels  and popcorn  and bladder wrack .
crisp.. with a hint of diesel.
Ripped through the  layers my clothes
made me feel naked and foolish.
I took the boat as far as I dared
but the lines were being drawn .
this far and no farther.
5  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Star * on: October 30, 2018, 12:04:15 AM
                                                  Star *
I am a star ....look at me
see me shine
look at me
Me me me
out here in the galaxy.......... see me shine .
I am a Sirius,  I am the dog .
look at me
I am shining sequins,
see me
look at me
Me me me.
I am distant and  flickering
long  before time
look up at me
I am the guide         follow me
Me me me .
Me me me .
Me me me......
I shine
I am a star

6  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Tear on: October 25, 2018, 11:17:13 PM
A tear is a tear is a tear
is just a tear.
52 million tears  in 52 years
Of course when I was much  younger
I tried snorting them up my  nose
I thought " I'll see how this goes
 (not very well)
I could smell the fear so I  became afraid
and of course I cried all the more .
I tried catching them in a glass
well that was a blast  (I think)
but I could taste the wasted  time.

eventually I  wrapped them in tissue and gave them away .
they were all  returned
with a blotched note saying
but no thanks ....................

7  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Pen on: October 21, 2018, 11:51:20 PM
She moves across the page  and impresses ink on paper
fluid language becomes solid words,
each one  stranger and more dangerous  than the last
..wild beasts  that  herded together .
soon there is a stampede   and she is darting this way and that .
weaving her way through,
directing the  flow .
with all the  precision
of a Biro
and the
bloody  mind
of  a spray can
full of bright red paint .

11  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Photograph on: October 03, 2018, 11:20:35 PM
It was in black and white
and with a  faint whiff of mothballs
or was it formaldehyde ?
He in tuxedo black.  She in tennis white
still a handsome sight ,
even now, battered, faded ,speckled, and  and worn at the edges.
so clearly so in love and yet so very sad.
and so near to  tears ,
she had said  that it was the last time she had seen  him.
Churchill had taken him to task,
and  Hitler had sent him home.
12  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Doctor on: June 12, 2018, 11:37:57 PM
Doctor Doctor!
my words are repeating
again and again
again and again
He said
"I see"
"try this"
"repeat after me"

"my words are not repeating "
my words are not repeating

"it's just the way that I've been eating"
it's just the way that I've been eating

"I must  learn to masticate  and conjugate"
I must  learn to masticate  and conjugate

"and take my time to ruminate"
and take my time to ruminate

"so take these purple pills and call me in the morning"
so take these purple pills and call me in the morning

Doctor Doctor!
my words are all repeating......
13  ObjectWriting / Tech Support / Re: are all the march prompts going to be the same as february's? on: June 10, 2018, 12:53:49 PM
Bumpety Bump Bump
14  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / String on: May 25, 2018, 11:59:42 PM
It was at the ball
       that  it all
started to un ravel
     he said she said
 gimme that
             this way  that way
 up             down
soon we were tied up in knots
How long?
      further longer
                                            light years
I could feel the burn between my fingers
and the feeling of something out of my control
stretched higher and tighter
like the magnet sun and a metal  box attached to  a piece of this  stuff
the  ..........tension
      taut like the wires
 of a guitar
                                                   but no control
                           no music
arms ache like  a weight lifter's
 mind like  like a  pilot
   losing control
 feel the wind
hush my ear
 cool my  face
burn my hand
then it forced this kite to land
15  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Hammock on: May 19, 2018, 03:37:32 AM
Parachute silk
its made of
supposedly like
falling out of the clouds
the smoothest descent
softest landing on your ass
lingerie  in space
at first im sceptical
easing in
easy now
the swing  ging  thing
side to side
to and fro left to right
melts the feelings i felt before
and oh  yes there it is
the sweet spot .
weightless  in space
 do not disturb
and then then ends the thers mefmf ewfcaxxxxxxxxxxx,;Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.................
