Red leather cover
Gold embossed initials
Tiny lapel pins
Prawn cocktail Roast beef
Staff bustle in sombre black
Bellies in Suits and Wide ties Wide ties
Meeting the moon man .
looks as if he wishes he was somewhere else
or maybe his shoelaces are too tight?
I say hello.Aware and Unaware of his missions
wine glasses clink. beer glasses tilt dangerously.  Talk Talk Talk
Im a sparrow among penguins..
Finally Speeches are made
Help is needed
Investments made
lord must be paid.
A hundred checkbooks appear
Red Leather Gold Initials.

Iron bridge
hotsummer no river
stormdrain, muddy trickle,
traffic sounds primal,rubber meets road
the  beating heart of  beating hearts
lovers locks left to remain forever or whenever?
A landmark for the lost and lonely
All invisable things  remain secured
All with initials hopefully engraved
or hastily written in bright sparkling nail varnish.
past and present collide for a moment .........
an humpbacked lady pushes a trolly and  all of her life is in black plastic bags
the taste of churros on the air the sun beating hotter as if welding the metal parts
A gusty breeze and leafs on the pavement stirring
pretty perfumed girls and boys .

All aboard!
the weather beaten  red faced man handed out the yellow lifejackets
the  sweet smell of pipe smoke on  western breeze
and we left the shore watching Dingle become a distance  .
A splash announces his arrival
the bottle nose!   I wonder what he knows ?
A friendly fish ?  with that dolfin smile. the infectious laugh.
I knew then that somehow things would never be the same .
what must it be like to live in the huge cold ocean?
and to crave human company so much?
I hang on to the rough painted  sides of the boat
Take a photo or two   Ive lost them now  .
In the pub later that day somebody picks up a Guitar
someone else a Bodran
someone else a fiddle
and begin to make warm organic music
humans in harmony.
and I thought of Fungie.
all alone out there in the ocean.
34  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Sofa on: April 01, 2018, 10:17:44 PM
Toby loved it so it always had a warm hairy patch.
and as you opened the door  he would hear the latch,
you would hear his clacking paws hitting the floor
and the guilty dog look,         were you on the Sofa
It was orange and cheap we didnt have much money
smelled of  tacos and dog and farts  and stale beer
But  it was a huddle  on wooden legs
that came in through the window too big for the door
It  eventually  became firewood  so  still some warmth there
Toasted marshmallows sweet  hot tea  crackle  spark jump scorch
burning carpet smell  black spots doused with water
got a new couch now no more hairy patch
He's gone 10 years now
I miss him so much sometimes
the slobbering   sleeper lived and loved  life
A canine force of nature and  everything in overdrive
He died on the floor couldnt reach sofa anymore
Now we recline and to the  cat
we are the sofa
So still a warm hairy patch
Different days now.....
