1  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Dream Catcher on: February 09, 2019, 05:22:36 PM
Put it away in a box. Leave it to rust for the later years when there is more time. Gone are the spent in the fruitless years of my youth. The skills I once had are a fresh loaf of bread that staled and molded, left of out on the top of my piano. I could smell the loaf every day in the basement. Rotting and decaying. Something about it I couldn’t bring my self to throw it away, I wanted a slice but would gag, throw it up, throw it away? Eventually, I picked it up had a taste, took a bite and set it down. I would try again. I made a new loaf with the same, with the same recipe. Took the loaf out of the oven, the dream catcher out of the box, and decided I would finish this time.

Gotta admit I got off track in favor of trying a metaphor Wink
2  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Key on: February 08, 2019, 02:14:08 PM
A twist away from freedom. Glistening silver, irreplaceable, it says so.  If only I had the key. A clothes hanger with some duct tape and friends. Click, Elation, pain and misery dissipate if only temporarily.  Open. A humid musk drenches the senses tingling the hair inside my nostrils I was too lazy to trim.

It was mine now.  Drawers on each side like treasure chests and enough space to do a jumping jack. I could finally sleep, but only for a moment.
3  ObjectWriting / Object Writing Word Of The Day / Flag - My First Post on: February 07, 2019, 02:47:45 PM
Exiting the house after a late night. Rubbing my eyes at the sun Early in the morning rose a flag over a sun on the brink of bursting over a bay divided horizon. Causing the infinite stars in the sky to be lowered to a brave 50. At the end of a dock put in but a few days ago by a visiting family. The ripple of the tide hitting a seaweed and rock covered shore. Boundless and beautiful, enhancing the picturesque backdrop only at the bay of Door County Wisconsin. The illuminating pride of the flag was a solemn reminder of a country’s greatness. It was this dream that the flag stood for.
