With all the cracks in its surface this teapot might seem personal. It has chips and yet feels smooth mostly on the crackling.  It calls for comfrey or other soothing herbal brews on its lid but it gets low budget bags, four of the regular size or two of the family size, to make extra strong tea that will dilute to half strength for ice tea. No special ceremony accompanies this, just 10:20 on the microwave and bags in after the beep. Hope I remember to pull them before the brew bitters, but if I donít, no matter, Iíll squeeze in lime anyway. Lime is firm and it only takes a quarter fruit for about half a gallon. I squeeze it with both thumbs and both forefingers hard and slide the peel against itself sideways a couple of times then drop it into the tepid mix, occasionally wincing with a hangnail. Cool enough to refrigerate and the rubber maid jug is put away. The teapot is blackening inside and on the tip of the spout. A rinse and it is put away on the shelf, nothing personal.
