people seem to hate change, change comes after we are set in our ways and it is difficult to make the transition from old to new, or the change is in our pocket, jingling, jangling, often mixed with fuzz in our pockets, bright, shiny coins, or dull thin pieces of metals or alloys, copper, nickel, or gold and silver, pennies are always the odd one of the bunch, the copper shine dulled after carted around in pockets, purses, dropped, run over, squished by a train, or in on of those souvenir machines that stamp out a picture or word onto the flattened penny that you will eventually lose, pennies do smell coppery, a strange smell distinctive from the rest of the change, pennies are becoming almost useless since everyone pays by credit card, debit card, or paypal, apple pay, or any other number of non-tangible ways, ways in which your fingers don't get to feel the ridges or the bumps on the coins, the dime, so small, currencies in other countries even more strange, tiny discs of gold for the smallest of transactions, coins larger than our dollar coins, square, octagonal, or with holes in the middle, the change in your pockets might even make different sounds
