Writing songs regularly for a few years now.

A window open to the evening is open to the dark
And the sound of birds singing at dawn
The moths that bat at the screen will have flown
As the bird song starts, one all alone.

Is it confusion, thereís no light in the sky
And itís only one birdís sweet song
Raise your head to the window sill
See the grey paling of the new dawn.

So turn to me the windows of your soul
Thereís a new day out the cool window
Gaze back at me with the eyes of love
Head now cradled in your pillow.

Itís OK to roll over and cover your head
Your eyes still gazed with desire
Desire and affection in this new dayís dawn
THe window breeze and your tangled hair.

Later when the windowís shut against the heat
And thereís grass calling out to be mowed
The bedís still rumpled from the coming of the dawn
Bird song in the embrace of your arms.
