It has been a while since I was welcome at our weekly Bodega nights
It has been months since I last saw your face.
I miss the evenings we would spend drinking countless different wines
I regret the way I was cast out in disgrace.
I think of you all most evenings and I hope that you are well
I wish that I could join you all again.
I miss how we would celebrate the joys of our youth
I miss being able to call you all my friends.
But no matter how hard I try, I can never change the past
My actions last forever and I will take it on the chin.
I must accept the consequences for the way that I acted
I must use these sour memories to begin
To try to make a change in the way I live my life.
There is no point living in regret.

I will take stock of my transgressions to become a better man
You can never learn to be better if you choose to just forget.
