A three-day beard does not go with a tie
A suit and well polished shoes
A three-day beard needs a razor
To clear it for Sundayís dues.

Moses, he covered his face
He hid it to cover the shine
Did he beard help or did whiskers glow?
Itís a detail we may never know.

But clean and polished we go into church
Heads and faces uncovered
Whiskers shaved off, hair combed across
But commandments are still given to us.

So let us not sink to covetousness
Let us not stoop to false witness
Let our eyes be clear over fresh razor burn
Let us not hide hate behind shaggy whiskers.
