1/9/2018 - carwash

Water sprinkles, sparkling like glitter over the windshield. Green soap suds plop on the glass until it is covered. We sit in total darkness watching a psychedelic show of cleaning compounds protected only by rolled up windows and tightly closed doors. A flurry of rubber smacks the sides of our car as streams of soapy water dribble down the hood. Synthetic scents of freshness assure our minds of a job well done. The vacuum's muffled growl beckons us forward towards the end of the tunnel. We exit slowly, allowing it to scare off the remaining water droplets hanging on for dear life.
