Hog bristles make and artistís paintbrush
Hog bristles, but just the tips
They mix the tube paint when it gets thick
Dried on the edge of the pallet.

The brush takes the rag after a soak
In a jar of turpentine
It takes the rag and comes back clean
Comes back clean many a time.

Itís a sad thing when a favorite brush
Is trimmed finally too short
A loss to the artist, the comfortable tool
That felt right in the three finger grip.

In some schools they spread paint with a knife
In China the brush is so soft
The oil paint mix with the hog bristle brush
It the mix that fits with the eye.
