I've never been to New Orleans. It seems a city full of sin and earthly pleasures, too many temptations for any one soul to withstand. The many buildings with their many colors, the eyes wander where they should not. The sounds of music, too much chatter for the ear, if you ask me. And loud, the awful din of it all is good for only distress. I have not been, like I said, but I know enough to know there's not much else to say on the matter. What's in it for me to travel there, a place I'm well aware I shall dislike? There's nothing much else I prefer anyways, besides a good book, a hot cup of tea, and this library window through which enough of the world passes through.
