Heart racing, running down empty sidewalks, the moon is hanging low in the sky. Big white disc, otherworldly in itís pinkish white glow. Long black trench coat, a firearm hidden inside, black shiny boots laced tight. Sunglasses on even in the dark. The cold metal of the firearm, I reach my hand into my coat and feel it. I click the safety off. Sitting up against a an old oak tree. The pre-dawn charcoal misty light. The crunch of dry brittle leaves. The smell of decaying leaves and rotting trees. My dadís flashlight waving back and forth as he makes his way toward me down the four wheeler trial cutting through the Pennsylvania mountain. My chest crushed with the weight of despair. My fatherís words have crushed me again. I point
