A mosquito canopy, a folding cot
Thatís camping in style at the beach
A warm summer breeze blows through the net
While bugs stay out and donít leach.

At night the hoses fall asleep too
Their plods donít add to night noise
Sound of surf in a miles long line
Is the sound of the night past the dune.

Horses will neigh at the break of day
Call to say where theyíre at
Theyíll pass the campsite in a slow plod line
Browsing on this and that passing.

Donít tent a table or any food
When camping on Assateague
Horses explore all that smells
They scavenge and donít respect tents.
