Replay the x-ray over again
THe CT scan turns in three-d
Shadows and lumps now known in detail
The surgeon sees the end is near.

Images of the headís inside
Explain the endless headache
Explain and condemn to little time left
Explain why no operation.

Sometimes you lose some, itís part of the game
Itís not about skill or tools
Some of the tumors are just too involved
To be cut away without death.

Giving the news with a somber face
Maybe something can be done for the pain
The practical patient thinks of affairs
To settle as he walks stooped away.

Iíve known men with crippling disease
In wheelchair and needing a nurse
They fight each day to make their way
But this oneís now run to the dirt.
