The train yard was full. Bogies lined up and down the tracks. Box Cars, Tankers, Cabooses had the day off. It was a bright sunny fourth of July. However, one of those tankers was in route to Banker, Maine. At least it was supposed to be. Two men on duty had no clue. These men received a call from a gentleman up in Banker, Maine. However, this "gentleman" and his way of transmitting his recommendations was far from gentleman like. The unfortunate man who picked up the phone was soon feeling his ears ring, his hair stick up on the back of his neck, and the lump in his throut increase in size. The man who sat across the tiny yellow bricked control room heard a yell from the phone "CHECK THE BOOK!". The unfortunate man who was disheveled slammed down the phone and began to scramble through papers. It was a bright sunny Fourth of July and the tanker that was en route to Banker, Maine was soon enjoying the warmth of the sunshine and the breeze traveling along the West Virginia mountains. Almost like a clip from a video. Bluegrass music was the only thing missing. The two men were enjoying their red, white, and blue frosting topped velvet cake.
