I swiped Sunday’s word, “Instructions,” and played in the key of, “A thief disregards instructions.”

At the balcony of your affection
She embraces her own decree
In the twilight of misdirection
She’ll pinch the heart on your sleeve.

I point to the billows low-rolling
Like smog suffocating the moon,
Do you see that lone shadow strolling?
Her fingers can hear your pulse bloom.

Hey @AvailableBeat, awesome!
Could you explain your procedure? What did you do to play in that key?

Sure, Leo! Cheesy
It's roughly broken down into 5 steps:

  • 1. I started by wanting to make a metaphor that was story-esque and based on Sunday's word Instructions.
  • 2. Then I played in the key of Instructions –by considering, "What can be done with instructions?" (Answer: disregard them)
  • 3. Then I "played in the key of disregards instructions" by thinking, "Who disregards instructions?" (A: A Thief)
  • 4. and then I played in the key of A Thief Disregards Instructions –by considering, "Who else steals and disregards instructions?" (A: A person who doesn't play by the normal rules of reciprocal love, and is out only to steal hearts)
  • 5. The metaphor was finally packed for travel, and it was time to adventure with it and establish the metaphor's words.
