Zip lock bag. coffee bag, ground beans fill the bag up almost completely.

i unzip the zip lock. aroma of the coffee fills the air even though my nostrils are something like 60% clogged.

wash out the the carafe, have to scrub the bottom glass because of the stains.

fresh water in, til about the second level marker, whatever that means, something like 2-3 cups.

filter in, pour the coffee out of the bag, evenly distributed, somewhat. then button press.

the familiar sound of huffing and puffing fills the room and reminds me of my mothers apartment. the sound and feel of morning.

the final gurgling and the cloud of steam. i head over to the machine and hit off. don't want the coffee to stay heated too long, it makes it taste burnt.

Great morning.
