A cascade of sun sprinkles the blacktop as the wheels of my skateboard roll around again and again. Like a shower I feel the warmth hit my arms revealed in a tank top and the slight California breeze gently whoosh the tiny white hairs that sit upon them. I'm rushing back to the apartment, there's a lady there that I've been dying to see ever since I left this morning. Like the lights on a runway, the palm trees line the edge of the road pointing me toward her. These trees watch over all the early risers, late bloomers, and blown in debris come and go. They watch over me as I gain speed and gradually roll closer and closer to my LA runaway. She's a mystery to me. Why, all it takes her blonde bed head hair to wash over my face and it's enough to wear this man down. When I arrive I will dash over the gate and knock on the door. She will answer, I will take her hand and run with her back to her room and where we'll find the hollow spot she's made in her bed.
