Plain white walls with couches lined up along the outside of the big ol pasty starched room. No windows, nothin but lonely light from the lamps. All the new faces that were gathered around me began pushing chairs into the middle of the room. Metal bottoms slid across the tile floor until ultimately the little buzz cut kid in scrubs, he looked to be 34 years in age, piped up and set that's good. We had formed a circle. All of the walks of life began to peer into each others eyes, including mine, as we took up our seats. Nervous twitches at knees, hard swallows, shaky hands, and a woman twirling her long greasy hair as she cocked her head to one side. Like fish out of water or a roomful of capsized boats, we were put into rehab to try and learn to breath and flip our lives back over.
