Man, I was drunk. Walking like a sailor who hasn't seen land for years and just as merry. My blurred vision observed others just as merry and uncoordinated, proof we were all in this boat together. No-one likes to be the drunkest at the party. Nearing midnight, James runs into the room brandishing a beautifully glittered hula hoop. He was speechless with excitement merely shaking the hula hoop for emphasis. Cheers roared to life as the sailors lined up for a turn. James, ever the show pony donned the hula hoop ceremoniously and after a countdown of 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1! he jerked his body left and right, straining to create a fluid hip rotation. His eyes were scrunched shut with open lips displaying clenched teeth. He hadn't put his drink down and it slopped over the deck to join the other spots and puddles treating the floor. It took less than 5 seconds for the hula hoop to clatter to the the floor to great guffaws. Frustrated, James yanked it back up declaring that everyone would get two turns each. He held the hula hoop at his waist, thrust his hip out holding...
