Next to the pool three girls stood, hair loose against their round faces.
“I bet I can hold it longer! Go!”
Cotton Candy striped hoops suspended themselves in the air as ong girl bit her lip, and another laughed. The sandy sound of one bouncing down to the ground broke the rhythm they all had.
“No fair I’m smaller than you,” the little one pouted
“That doesn’t make it not fair.”
The warm air danced around the yard gently with the wind, blowing the heavy smell of summer flowers and heat with it.

It wraps around your hips with the inertia of a black hole, then up and down your arm, abrasive in your skin. I see you smile with intention. The music plays, and the hypnotic halo encircles you in a sacred cocoon, where you grow wings. I see you flying high beyond the sky, where gravity can't bend your will. I see it in your hair. I see it through the lens that shapes this vision. The grass is fresh, and I clench my toes, so I don't float away. When others are so high, you bring me to my knees.  It makes me feel alone.

Now you sit down, to take a breather.  Your convex talisman is scorching this mystical force field. Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name?
