It all felt so awkward.  Learning how to maneuver with such cumbersome planks strapped to my feet. Wrapped head to toe in heavy clothing that inhibits all balancing motions and then just add some snow and ice.  Sure this sounds like a good time!  Walking out of the ski shack the crowd noise echoed like a theme park with out the goofy music. Shrill screams of the young skiers on the slightest of slopes in desperate modes of excitement and fear.  Puffs of steaming hot coffee, cocoa and breath rise above the earth and quickly wisp away to join the perpetual fog surrounding the ski lift.  Avid skiers skirt their way through the human obstacles in various poses of distress.  The air is damp and chilly yet the hearts are warm and welcoming for the most part.  Smiles and laughs bounce back and forth off of fogged glasses and  icy
