Sitting on the saggy living room couch, cool air blanketing in. Foot fat with plaster, signatures in sharpie tattooed on the green cast. warm controller in my hand, breath thick with peanut butter jelly from lunch I brace myself for the part in the game where I keep dying, wires tangled under the t.v., antenna gangly it picks up frequencies for 6 channels, tin foil eye balls look down at me. Outside, loud buzz of the weedwacker, spatter of grass and weeds against the vinyl siding, Patches panting for attention on his chain, cutting cries for freedom. scrape of feet on the sidewalk, hop scotch squares drawn with giant chalk--
