Lavender tastes like summer and soap
Lavender whispers to me of a honeymoon in Provence, of wine, of pillowcases, of cheap lotion.
Lavender is a loved-hated aunt who visits on holidays.
Lavender sings like a young girl in choir who sings on key but doesn't quite have the emotion. Yet.
Her breath was lavender and metal, milk and medicine.
Her thoughts were organized like rows of lavender, perfect and rolling, restrained under a blue sky and puffy clouds, tender from a distance, prickly and filled with dancing bees up close.
Lavender rustled gently in the hot august wind like sisters rolling over in bed, trying to get comfortable.
