Cathedral

The whole building reminds me of a family sized cake.  I can almost taste the jam and icing as I look at it.  The spires would be fought over by all the children.  Mom would just have a small slice.  But inside isn't sponge, and it smells more like damp wood than it does of Sponge.  Everything about the building is a little confused.  The stone walls are cold to touch, but the wooden pews are warm.  The candles are trying to make it cosy, but the roof won't allow it.  The sign at the front welcomes me in, but the building feels like it's telling me to get out.  The signs inside say speak quietly, but when I whisper it sounds like a shout.
