Marker

I'm listening for that confident deep swoosh.  Waiting for that strong smell that makes me miss my trips to the gas station.  Looking for that unbroken line.  Hoping for that gliding feeling.  Every time I pick up one of the marker pens I grip it with a little less optimism.  There has to be one that's not run out.  But, instead, all I'm getting are high pitched scraping sounds;  the feeling of resistance; broken lines; and zero missed trips to the gas station.  I should remember to throw out the ones that don't work.
