The quiet lake on an early spring morning. The mist is still heavy on the water and the birds have barely woken. Some whistling can be heard, but apart from that the only sound killing the dead silence is a stream nearby. I have every sense focused on the fishing rod I hold in my hands as I slowly pull in the line. If the line shows just a bit of resistance, Ill feel it.
