glow from the inside, quiet and insistent, and yet easily ignore and unnoticed. Is it real or cultured? Is she cultured or real? Click, Click, Click, the string of pearls slide across each other, a fast rosary, without much of a prayer, more a habitual and mindless action- like twirling hair, fingers typing on little white spheres that are constantly in motion, yet following the leader, a train of little white marshmallows, slightly melted, to make them round. Fingers sticking here and there, for a deeper taste. Round with a hole on a string. miniature balloons that don't jolt with a pop, even though there is a hole. String around the neck or wrist, not caressing by itself, but through the pearl flesh. Not digging in, but perhaps an impediment to something, that will create its own new pearl. White ball bearings, that move the rich and famous along the red carpet
