He stalked across the narrow room, a thrumming cackle emitting from his pointed hood.  Forty faces watched breathless as he halted suddenly and threw his head upward, as if caught by a magnetic force.  He sniffed. I smelled nothing but chicken parmesan, but his head slowly turned, and as a time lapse of a full moon, I saw unveiled a white mask with two sunken caverns staring at me.  Perhaps the fruity perfume I had on was a mistake.  Either way, as I shifted uncomfortably in my seat like a child in school wishing they had gone to the bathroom, I had the thought that this was the creepiest murder mystery dinner Id ever been to.
