Shimmering waves of purple Iris flowers swelling in the caressing wind, purple heads smiling atop long deep green thin bodies glistening as their fine white hairs glow gloriously in a shower of chamomile sunlight, pouring generously through gooey breaks in the marshmallow clouds, hanging like fluffy warm translucent curtains. Sweet nectar in the air is a honey creek trickling by, gently rolling over smooth rocks and lapping at my nose, tinkling like a small chime ringing. My finger sticking to pollen on the resplendent flower head, like blue tack latching on, bitterness and sweetness waging a small battle over my tongue after I lick my glistening finger. Low humming of the wind in the valley and rustling stalks sound like orchestral cymbals shimmering. Afternoon ballet of spring birds showing for hours…
