Critiques welcome!

I lift my head that feels like a thousand pounds up and off the crinkling white paper. The air is sterile and smells of rubbing alcohol. I swing my feet around, one by one, place them on the ground and shift the weight to them. The nurse in her blue scrubs and sketchers starts saying something but it sounds like she’s talking through a pillow. The first speck of dust shoots across my eyes and all of a sudden they keep coming faster and faster until my vision is blocked out nearly completely. The nurses voice has changed from a muffled sound to a high pitch ring and my mouth is so dry I can’t find the words to say anything at all. A wave of coolness rushes through my body but I could feel tiny beads of sweat forming on my forehead. I know what’s about to happen but I can’t find the make shift hospital bed I just stood up from. My legs are no longer capable of holding the weight they’ve held every day for the past 20 years, and my knees buckle sending me crashing to the ground.
